In November 2017 Christies in Paris held the auction Stripped Bare: Photographs from the Collection of Thomas Koerfer, which included the work Sans titre, vers 1950 by Carlo Mollino. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Mollino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Important And Unique Dining Table in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,181,350.00 (€ 5,307,246.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Stripped Bare: Photographs from the Collection of Thomas Koerfer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre, vers 1950 von Carlo Mollino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Mollino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Important And Unique Dining Table im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.181.350,00 (€ 5.307.246,50).
