Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titolo by Carlo Maria Mariani. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,038.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Maria Mariani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orfeo in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 66,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titolo von Carlo Maria Mariani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.700,00 (€ 5.038,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maria Mariani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orfeo im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 66.250,00.
