Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tempi prospettici (Perspective Times) by Carlo Alfano was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in London in June 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,539.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Alfano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frammenti di un autoritratto anonimo Nr. 26, which sold at auction in June 2016 for EUR 46,250.00.

Die Arbeit Tempi prospettici (Perspective Times) von Carlo Alfano wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.539,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Alfano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frammenti di un autoritratto anonimo Nr. 26 beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für EUR 46.250,00 versteigert wurde.
