Auction result fails to reach estimate
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Spring Day, California” by Carl Oscar Borg for DKK 80,000.00 (€ 10,735.84). This price was achieved in the auction Modern paintings, sculptures & prints at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 100,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carl Oscar Borg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Spring Day, California” von Carl Oscar Borg für DKK 80.000,00 (€ 10.735,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern paintings, sculptures & prints bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Oscar Borg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watching The Race im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20).
