A top price for Carl Oscar Borg - as previously expected
The work Watching The Race by Carl Oscar Borg was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The price achieved of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Watching The Race is the most expensive artwork by Carl Oscar Borg that we have observed at auctions so far.
