Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rock Outcrop (The Love of Mystery) by Carl Oscar Borg was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,388.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Oscar Borg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rock Outcrop (The Love of Mystery) von Carl Oscar Borg wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.388,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Oscar Borg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching The Race im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20).
