Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl Oscar Borg could be acquired at Bonhams in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Western Art auction, the work Rhyolite, Nevada changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,154.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Oscar Borg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Oscar Borg konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Western Art wechselte die Arbeit Rhyolite, Nevada für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.154,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Oscar Borg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching The Race im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20).
