Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work On Pacific Shores by Carl Oscar Borg for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,520.35). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams in Edinburgh and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Oscar Borg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On Pacific Shores von Carl Oscar Borg für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.520,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Oscar Borg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching The Race im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20).
