Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green Rolling Hills by Carl Oscar Borg was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,351.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Oscar Borg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green Rolling Hills von Carl Oscar Borg kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.351,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Oscar Borg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching The Race im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20).
