Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Golden Eagle and a Bittern in flight by Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lion and a tiger fighting over a fallen stag before a classical sarcophagus in a cave, a landscape with a pyramid beyond in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 94,997.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Golden Eagle and a Bittern in flight von Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart kam im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lion and a tiger fighting over a fallen stag before a classical sarcophagus in a cave, a landscape with a pyramid beyond im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.750,00 (€ 94.997,98).
