Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Deer, ducks, a rabbit, a spoonbill and other animals in a landscape by Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 39,400.00 (€ 27,232.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A lion and a tiger fighting over a fallen stag before a classical sarcophagus in a cave, a landscape with a pyramid beyond, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 94,997.98).

Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Borromäus Andreas Ruthart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A lion and a tiger fighting over a fallen stag before a classical sarcophagus in a cave, a landscape with a pyramid beyond beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 58.750,00 (€ 94.997,98) versteigert wurde.
