This work without title by Carl Andre was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 63,000.00 (€ 61,028.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Andre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Copper-Steel Alloy Square in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,411,250.00 (€ 2,796,877.07).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carl Andre kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 61.028,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Andre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Copper-Steel Alloy Square im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.411.250,00 (€ 2.796.877,07).
