Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work 6 CuAl LINE by Carl Andre. The price achieved of GBP 101,600.00 (€ 115,589.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Andre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Copper-Steel Alloy Square in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,411,250.00 (€ 2,796,877.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 6 CuAl LINE von Carl Andre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 101.600,00 (€ 115.589,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Andre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Copper-Steel Alloy Square im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.411.250,00 (€ 2.796.877,07).
