In the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 auction, the work The Causeway Across Vaigai River, Madura sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,946.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Linnaeus Tripe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Views of India, Indonesia and Myanmar (Burma), c. 1858, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 107,500.00 (€ 91,001.44).
