Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Portrait Of Joanita Blank by Cândido Portinari. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 52,933.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cândido Portinari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meninos soltando pipas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,443,750.00 (€ 1,111,603.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Joanita Blank von Cândido Portinari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 52.933,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cândido Portinari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meninos soltando pipas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.443.750,00 (€ 1.111.603,02).
