It achieved a price of USD 374,500.00 (€ 287,855.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cândido Portinari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Meninos soltando pipas, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 1,443,750.00 (€ 1,111,603.02).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 374.500,00 (€ 287.855,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cândido Portinari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Meninos soltando pipas beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 1.443.750,00 (€ 1.111.603,02) versteigert wurde.
