In November 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Caçador De Onça by Cândido Portinari. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,748.49), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cândido Portinari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meninos soltando pipas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,443,750.00 (€ 1,111,603.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Caçador De Onça von Cândido Portinari zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.748,49) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cândido Portinari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meninos soltando pipas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.443.750,00 (€ 1.111.603,02).
