Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cândido Portinari achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Caçador De Onça sold for USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,710.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cândido Portinari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meninos soltando pipas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,443,750.00 (€ 1,111,603.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cândido Portinari erzielte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Caçador De Onça für USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.710,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cândido Portinari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meninos soltando pipas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.443.750,00 (€ 1.111.603,02).
