Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York by Burt Glinn was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2010. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,510.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Glinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York von Burt Glinn kam im April 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.510,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Glinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
