This artwork by Burt Glinn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in May 2011. In the Photographs auction, the work Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,574.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Glinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Burt Glinn erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.574,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Glinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
