Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York, 1965 by Burt Glinn was sold in the Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection auction at Christies in Paris in June 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Glinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York, 1965 von Burt Glinn wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Glinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
