Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Vertical Dusk & Horizontal Dawn by Bruce McLean. The price achieved of GBP 828.75 (€ 935.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bruce McLean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Handbags, Two Ladders in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,744.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vertical Dusk & Horizontal Dawn von Bruce McLean zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 935,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce McLean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Handbags, Two Ladders im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.744,26).
