Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Blue Splash, Red Door; She Sleeps with a Jug; Untitled (Blue Pipe Smoker) by Bruce McLean for GBP 382.50 (€ 456.24). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce McLean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Handbags, Two Ladders in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,744.26).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce McLean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Handbags, Two Ladders im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.744,26).
