Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Lucian Freud In His Studio With Two Paintings Of Leigh Bowery, 1993 by Bruce Bernard for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,461.01). This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Bernard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work (i) Lucian Freud posing as a Henry Moore, 1983; (ii) Leigh Bowery and Nicola Bateman posing for 'And The Husband (1)', 1993; (iii) Lucian Freud standing with portrait of Leigh Bowery, 1990; (iv) Leigh Bowery posing for Lucian Freud's 'Leigh under th in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 29,299.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lucian Freud In His Studio With Two Paintings Of Leigh Bowery, 1993 von Bruce Bernard für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.461,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Bernard erzielen.
