Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lucian Freud In His Studio With Two Paintings Of Leigh Bowery, 1990 by Bruce Bernard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,134.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Bernard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work (i) Lucian Freud posing as a Henry Moore, 1983; (ii) Leigh Bowery and Nicola Bateman posing for 'And The Husband (1)', 1993; (iii) Lucian Freud standing with portrait of Leigh Bowery, 1990; (iv) Leigh Bowery posing for Lucian Freud's 'Leigh under th in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 29,299.

Die Arbeit Lucian Freud In His Studio With Two Paintings Of Leigh Bowery, 1990 von Bruce Bernard kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.134,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Bernard erzielen.
