Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sculpture/handle with a jester by Bror Marklund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 13,000.00 (€ 1,120.14). Admittedly, works by Bror Marklund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pig in May this year with an auction result of SEK 55,000.00 (€ 4,739.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sculpture/handle with a jester von Bror Marklund im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 13.000,00 (€ 1.120,14) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bror Marklund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pig im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 55.000,00 (€ 4.739,07).
