Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Gestalt i storm" (Figure in storm) by Bror Marklund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 14,000.00 (€ 1,206.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bror Marklund - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pig, which sold at auction in May this year for SEK 55,000.00 (€ 4,739.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Gestalt i storm" (Figure in storm) von Bror Marklund im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 14.000,00 (€ 1.206,31) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bror Marklund mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pig beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für SEK 55.000,00 (€ 4.739,07) versteigert wurde.
