Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pilot AP by Boo Ritson was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,051.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boo Ritson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Nina", 2006 in November 2010 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 21,862.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pilot AP von Boo Ritson im September 2009 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.051,09) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boo Ritson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Nina", 2006 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 21.862,53).
