Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cupid With A Violin In A Landscape by Bonifazio de' Pitati was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,734.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bonifazio de' Pitati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ driving the money changers from the Temple in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 515,154.12).
