In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Angelica and Medoro by Bonifazio de' Pitati. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,759.96), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bonifazio de' Pitati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ driving the money changers from the Temple in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 515,154.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angelica and Medoro von Bonifazio de' Pitati zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.759,96) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bonifazio de' Pitati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ driving the money changers from the Temple im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 515.154,12).
