A top price for Bonifazio de' Pitati - as previously expected
The work Christ driving the money changers from the Temple by Bonifazio de' Pitati was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. The auction ended at the price of USD 600,000.00 (€ 515,154.12), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Christ driving the money changers from the Temple is the most expensive artwork by Bonifazio de' Pitati that we have observed at auctions so far.
