Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist And Mary Magdalen by Bonifazio de' Pitati. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 104,445.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bonifazio de' Pitati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ driving the money changers from the Temple in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 515,154.12).
