Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hollowman Takes Center Stage by Bo Bartlett was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,820.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bo Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurtsboro in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Hollowman Takes Center Stage von Bo Bartlett kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.820,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bo Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurtsboro im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
