Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Giant by Bo Bartlett was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,820.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bo Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurtsboro in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Giant von Bo Bartlett kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.820,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bo Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurtsboro im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
