BLINKY PALERMO (1943-1977) Ohne Titel offset lithograph in colors, on card, 1970, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 215/250 (there were also fifteen artist's proofs), published for the deluxe edition of the Kunstmarkt Kataloges, Cologne, the full sheet, in good condition Sheet: 17 3 ⁄ 4 x 12 5 ⁄ 8 in. (448 x 320 mm.)
Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Blinky Palermo could be acquired at Christies in New York in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online auction, the work Ohne Titel changed hands for USD 630.00 (€ 570.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Blinky Palermo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,255,800.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Blinky Palermo konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online wechselte die Arbeit Ohne Titel für USD 630,00 (€ 570,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Blinky Palermo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.640.000,00 (€ 5.255.800,95).
