BLINKY PALERMO (1943-1977) Ohne Titel (mit rotem Strich) screenprint in grey and red, on Chromolux paper, 1970, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 52/150 (there were also ten artist's proofs), published as an annual edition of the artist settlement Künstlersiedlung Halfmannshof, Gelsenirchen, Germany, the full sheet, in generally good condition Sheet: 21 3 ⁄ 4 x 22 1 ⁄ 2 in. (554 x 574 mm.)

It achieved a price of USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,739.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Blinky Palermo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,255,800.95).

Die Arbeit Ohne Titel (mit rotem Strich) von Blinky Palermo wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.739,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Blinky Palermo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.640.000,00 (€ 5.255.800,95).
