Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bian Wenyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy auction, the work Summer Trees sold for HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 143,790.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bian Wenyu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 165,092.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bian Wenyu erzielte im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Summer Trees für HKD 1.180.000,00 (€ 143.790,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bian Wenyu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 165.092,72).
