In March 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Grapes by Bian Wenyu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,103.20), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bian Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 165,092.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes von Bian Wenyu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 2.103,20) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bian Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 165.092,72).
