Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boating In The Spring River by Bian Wenyu was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,950.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bian Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 165,092.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boating In The Spring River von Bian Wenyu wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.950,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bian Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 165.092,72).
