Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Album of Landscapes after Yuan Masters by Bian Wenyu was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,425.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bian Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 165,092.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Album of Landscapes after Yuan Masters von Bian Wenyu wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.425,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bian Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 165.092,72).
