Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bian Wenyu could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape in the Manner of Suzhou School changed hands for HKD 78,000.00 (€ 7,427.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bian Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 165,092.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bian Wenyu konnte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Landscape in the Manner of Suzhou School für HKD 78.000,00 (€ 7.427,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bian Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 165.092,72).
