Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Vase With 'Foxglove' Motif by Bernard Leach. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,347.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Leach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase With 'Foxglove' Motif von Bernard Leach zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.347,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Leach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.346,80).
