Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bernard Leach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Tall Pitcher sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,940.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Leach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Leach erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Tall Pitcher für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.940,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Leach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.346,80).
