In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Fluted Bottle Vase by Bernard Leach. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,778.71), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Leach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fluted Bottle Vase von Bernard Leach zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.778,71) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Leach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.346,80).
