Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dish With 'Leaping Hare' Motif by Bernard Leach was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 705.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Leach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).

Die Arbeit Dish With 'Leaping Hare' Motif von Bernard Leach wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 705,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Leach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.346,80).
