Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 302,400.00 (€ 354,626.70). Other works by Benjamin West have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 661,037.08) in July 2013 for the work Portrait Of Prince William (1776-1834), Later 2Nd Duke Of Gloucester And Edinburgh, And His Elder Sister, Princess Sophia (1773-1844) Of Gloucester.
