The work Bowery, 1933 by Ben Shahn was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. It achieved a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,844.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Shahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scabbies are Welcome in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 262,400.00 (€ 206,825.88).

Die Arbeit Bowery, 1933 von Ben Shahn wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.844,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Shahn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scabbies are Welcome im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.400,00 (€ 206.825,88).
