Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Distant Dreams by Basoeki Abdullah was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 81,149.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 550,000.00 – 780,000.00. Other works by Basoeki Abdullah have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) was auctioned for HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).

Die Arbeit Distant Dreams von Basoeki Abdullah kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 81.149,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 550.000,00 – 780.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Basoeki Abdullah konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2006 die Arbeit Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) für HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75) versteigert.
