It achieved a price of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,966.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Basoeki Abdullah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).

Die Arbeit Portrait of an Indonesian girl von Basoeki Abdullah kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.966,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Basoeki Abdullah erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
