Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two women walking beneath a flamboyant by Basoeki Abdullah was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,450.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Basoeki Abdullah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).

Die Arbeit Two women walking beneath a flamboyant von Basoeki Abdullah kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.450,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Basoeki Abdullah erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gunung Salak (Mountain Salak) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
